(1705 Scotland – 1788 MA) married in 1730 Scotland to Anna Law. Immigrated to Boston, MA, 1756, and then onto Groton, MA.Five children, three of which immigrated to the Colonies.

• John (1731 – 1793) married. Jean Stewart. Seven children.

• Thomas (1745 – 1806) married Rosannah Conn. Ten children.

• James (1741 – 1778), never married.

• Margaret and Janet were the two children who remained in Scotland.
